3D Fiber Art Palm Tree Lamps

I have decided to take my quest for 3 dimensional trees to the next level and create palm trees. The trunk and roots are wrapped with silvery gray lace. The leaves are made from various weights of lutradur and interfacing that have been painted with textile paints and stitched with heavy 12 wt decorative threads to provide texture. This piece stands approximately 30″ high and has a 28″ diameter canopy. The base is wrapped with 35 mini clear decorative lights.
