February 24- January 2013:Generation Y: Song of Hope was chosen by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division to be included in the 2012 People’s Gallery Exhibition at Austin City Hall. The opening reception will be held on Friday, February 24th from 6-9 p.m. at City Hall located at 301 West 2nd Street in Austin, Texas. August 15, 2012: Austin Fiber Artist August Program, Applying Color and Design to Cloth” from 7-9 p.m. The event will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church located at 4622 South Lamar in Austin, Texas. Lecture will include different ways to add both color and design by painting, dyeing, inking, stamping and stencilling on various mediums. September 14-16, 2012 Austin Area Quilt Guild Capital of Texas Quilt Show with over 350 quilts on display at the Palmer Event Center located at 900 Barton Springs Road in Austin, Texas. Hours are 10-6 on Friday and Saturday, 12-4 on Sunday. Some quilts will be offered for sale and there will be vendors, live demonstations and a silent auction with some wonderful treats.

Students will learn basic surface design techniques from dyeing to discharge, stamping to silk screening in a small class setting.
