Artist Garden

Artist Garden is a collaboration with nine artists The project was proposed by Connie Hudson who had taken photos of flowers while on vacation. Each artist was given one or two photos of flowers that reminded her of each artist. The layout of the quilt blocks and size was planned in advance and each of us set out to create our own flower in our unique signature style. My flower was a tiger lily and having a propensity to render things in a 3 dimensional manner, I created the bottom center block. The top blocks from left to right were made by Connie Hudson, Cindy Hennecke and Annie Smith. The middle row from left to right were created by Frances Holliday Alford, Leslie Tucker Jenison and Sherri McCauley. The bottom row from left to right includes pieces by Kathy York, Barb Forrister and Suzan Engler.
